Description:
Job Summary:
Perform day-to-day scheduling & procurement duties in a proactive manner in an effort to minimize production issues and delays while maximizing throughput. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials needed in the production facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate & Schedule ALL jobs for production.
- Work in lock-step with Pre-press, Sakurai and Bindery managers to ensure job deadlines are met.
- Initiate pre-planning of jobs requiring subcontract operations.
- Maintain all Raw Material levels in accordance with procurement policies & guidelines
- Oversee & initiate purchase of Raw Material & Production Supplies as needed through the RFP process
- Assist in New Product Development as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Clear knowledge & understanding of all print-production processes
- Understanding of production workflow, equipment constraints and capabilities
- Team oriented with quality mindset
- Ability to effectively juggle a dynamic and ever-changing workload
- Technical knowledge of equipment and problem-solving skills
- Cost conscious w/ materials and process efficiencies
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
