Overview :
This is a full-time on-site role for an Estimator at TMS Construction. The Estimator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish, with a focus on maintaining safety standards, managing budgets, and ensuring that all project activities are completed on time and within scope
Responsibilities :
- Software Proficiency : Must have experience with or the willingness to learn preconstruction software such as Outlook, Excel, Project, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, On-Screen Takeoff, and Procore.
- Cost Estimation : Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project to ensure accurate cost estimates and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Detailed Estimates : Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates by reviewing all aspects of a project, from initial design to final construction phase.
- Clear Communication : Present detailed cost estimates to upper management and other stakeholders, providing clear explanations to support decision-making and project planning.
- Technical Knowledge : Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, project specifications, and construction requirements to accurately estimate project costs.
- Construction Process Knowledge : In-depth understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and best practices to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
- Reporting & Documentation : Prepare clear and thorough reports outlining all project costs, ensuring transparency and accuracy in cost tracking.
- Data Management : Input cost data into the company’s database to maintain accurate records for future reference and analysis.
- Cost Control : Monitor and track discrepancies between estimated and actual costs , adjusting estimating practices and processes as needed to improve accuracy over time.
