Accounting and Logistics Assistant

TMSI Logistics is a 3PL providing Inland Transportation Services for Ocean Imports and Exports, TL and LTL Consolidation and Warehousing. We have been proudly located in WNY for over 40 years. We are currently looking for an engaging, self-starter to join our Operations Team focused in our Inland Transportation Department. The successful candidate needs to be detail oriented, with a strong organizational background and attention to detail. This individual should have an innate customer service mindset. This is a great opportunity to learn the logistics business from experienced professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as part of our inland transportation team assisting in entry of delivery orders, tracking shipments and updating systems with accurate, timely data.

You will support accounting function as needed and handle general office duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic

Superb communication skills both verbal and written

Eagerness to assist, learn new processes and manage one's own time

Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast paced environment

Working knowledge of port operations and rail yards is a plus

Must have a willingness to learn and engage with experienced team members

Must have excellent verbal and written skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

Familiarity with logistics related terminology and operations is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
