Location: Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute, Davidson County
Salary: $54,204 - $81,096 (Annually)
Type: Interim appointment (up to 1 year)

About the Role:

Join our IT support team to diagnose, maintain, and optimize computer systems, hardware, and software at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute. This role involves troubleshooting, system analysis, hardware repairs, and ensuring compliance with IT policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, maintain IT equipment, and upgrade components as needed.
• System Administration: Manage user access, security controls, software licenses, and backups.
• Procurement & Inventory: Track IT assets, order hardware/software, and ensure compliance with state contracts.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain system records, analyze logs, and ensure adherence to IT policies.
• Training & Communication: Provide IT guidance to staff, document troubleshooting solutions, and liaise with vendors.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience (One of the following required):

• Bachelor’s degree 2 years of IT experience (hardware/software troubleshooting, programming, systems analysis, etc.)

OR

• Associate’s degree in IT-related field relevant IT experience (up to 2 years)

OR

• Equivalent IT experience (year-for-year basis) in system support, programming, or analysis

OR

• Graduate coursework in IT-related field (may substitute for experience, up to 1 year)

OR

• Current State of TN employees: One year as an Information Resource Support Specialist 2

Preferred Skills:

IT troubleshooting & hardware maintenance
Network security & system analysis
Strong documentation & compliance knowledge
Ability to train and support end-users
