Purpose of Position: The Shop Janitor keeps buildings clean and in an orderly condition.
Supervises: N/A
Essential Job Functions:
· Cleans building floors by sweeping and mopping them.
· Gathers and empties trash.
· Services, cleans the service facility.
· Notifies General Manager concerning the need for major repairs.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to write simple correspondence.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisor, and co-workers.
Preferred Education:
· Less than high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred Experience:
· One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
