Enthusiastic and motivated individual for an entry-level Intern - IT Cyber Security & DevOps position. The candidate for this position must have entry-level planning, organization, and communication skills and be eager to learn all aspects of IT Support involvin Cyber Security and DevOps. This will work closely with our security and cloud infrastructure teams, gaining practical exposure to key cybersecurity solutions and Azure cloud services. You will assist in implementing, monitoring, and testing security controls, particularly using Microsoft Defender, Okta, and Barracuda. You’ll also support testing sprints, contributing to the identification and mitigation of bugs and issues.
Responsibilities
Pay Range: $22 USD - $23 USD
Compliance with all company policies, including but not limited to the company’s COVID-19 vaccination policy and testing and face-covering policy, is a condition of employment. You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (typically 2 per week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St., Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Provide support with the configuration, monitoring, and administration of Microsoft Defender for endpoint protection, threat detection, and response.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Okta for identity and access management (IAM), including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and user provisioning/de-provisioning.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of Barracuda security solutions, concentrating on email protection, firewall management, and secure access control.
- Monitor alerts and reports generated by these tools to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement security protocols for cloud infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., encryption, firewalls, network security).
- Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies is a plus.
- Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or ARM Templates is a bonus.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash is desirable.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender, Okta, and Barracuda.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including user authentication and MFA.
- Candidates should have pursued or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
