Summary
The Graphics Production Designer is a member of Toastmasters International's Graphic Design team in the Marketing Communications department. The Graphic Design departmentdevelops creative, innovative, effective, and engaging materials and interactive content that reinforce the Toastmasters brand, enhances our members' journey through the education program, and facilitates a positive member experience. We are a support team for all other departments at World Headquarters providing creative services, such as graphic design, photography, email development, web design, and production design.
Generally, the scope of work ranges from creating branded PowerPoints, organizing and tagging assets, reviewing translated materials, performing manual updates, and occasionally designing marketing materials as well as helping the Graphics Production Specialist with print vendor uploads. This person should have excellent communication and organization skills.
Description
- Supports the team with long-form material updates, assets tagging, PowerPoint layouts and improving efficiency in design processes
- Creates accessible PDF documents and remediates PDFs, PPTs and Word documents, and ensures documents are WCAG and PDF / UA compliant using tools such as MadeToTag and CommonLook.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance testing to verify the effectiveness of document accessibility remediation efforts
- Maintain a systematic approach to track and manage accessibility-related issues and resolutions
- Provides image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation
- Makes various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolves any artwork issues that arise during production, including package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners (prepare final press-ready and digital-ready files based on supplied specifications)
- Assists in the collection, archiving, and distribution of assets for preparation of production artwork as necessary
- Possesses a solid knowledge of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce work on time, at high quality, and to specification
- Demonstrates expert understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion with experience working within brand guidelines
- Has excellent organization and presentation skills to structure presentations and documents in a way that can be easily understood and modified by others
- Assists with and manages multiple simultaneous projects while adhering to all standards and SOPs, including file naming conventions, artwork release methods, appropriate electronic filing of artwork on server, etc.
- Has the ability to be a problem solver that requires very little guidance on projects; thrives in a fast-paced environment

58,000-$61,000 USD

You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (typically 2 per week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St. Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.
