Graphics Production Designer (Hybrid)

Summary

The Graphics Production Designer is a member of Toastmasters International's Graphic Design team in the Marketing Communications department. The Graphic Design departmentdevelops creative, innovative, effective, and engaging materials and interactive content that reinforce the Toastmasters brand, enhances our members' journey through the education program, and facilitates a positive member experience. We are a support team for all other departments at World Headquarters providing creative services, such as graphic design, photography, email development, web design, and production design.

Generally, the scope of work ranges from creating branded PowerPoints, organizing and tagging assets, reviewing translated materials, performing manual updates, and occasionally designing marketing materials as well as helping the Graphics Production Specialist with print vendor uploads. This person should have excellent communication and organization skills.

DescriptionSupports the team with long-form material updates, assets tagging, PowerPoint layouts and improving efficiency in design processesCreates accessible PDF documents and remediates PDFs, PPTs and Word documents, and ensures documents are WCAG and PDF / UA compliant using tools such as MadeToTag and CommonLook.Conduct thorough quality assurance testing to verify the effectiveness of document accessibility remediation effortsMaintain a systematic approach to track and manage accessibility-related issues and resolutionsProvides image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulationMakes various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolves any artwork issues that arise during production, including package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners (prepare final press-ready and digital-ready files based on supplied specifications)Assists in the collection, archiving, and distribution of assets for preparation of production artwork as necessaryPossesses a solid knowledge of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce work on time, at high quality, and to specificationDemonstrates expert understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion with experience working within brand guidelinesHas excellent organization and presentation skills to structure presentations and documents in a way that can be easily understood and modified by othersAssists with and manages multiple simultaneous projects while adhering to all standards and SOPs, including file naming conventions, artwork release methods, appropriate electronic filing of artwork on server, etc.Has the ability to be a problem solver that requires very little guidance on projects; thrives in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge and Skills

Must possess mastery of industry standard Adobe CC Design Suite applications such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications : PowerPoint, Word and Excel on Macintosh platform (OSX)Exceptional attention to detailSelf-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and time managementExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design or related fieldMinimum of 3 years production art and digital design experience preferredPrint and digital background is a mustPortfolio of previous work is requiredDemonstrates knowledge of brandingExperience defining project requirements and working with cross functional teamsPreferred Qualifications

Experience managing and cataloging images and metadataExperience with MadetoTag and CommonLookDesign and layout opportunities will be available for the ideal candidate possessing strong design skillsUse of macros, actions, scripts, workflows is a plusDigital production knowledge of email and website creation is a plus using Adobe XD or SketchExperience working on animated graphics in After Effects

Pay Range

58,000-$61,000 USD

You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (typically 2 per week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St. Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.
