Based in the Phoenix area for decades, we are a booming electrical contractor focusing on commercial and mission critical projects. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are urgently looking for a Chief Estimator to join our team. The Chief Estimator is responsible for overseeing the bidding process for all projects, managing the pre-construction team, and collaborating with management, clients, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Select projects to bid on and lead estimating efforts.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from project plans.
- Manage and coach the estimating team.
- Work with management to set competitive pricing.
- Innovate to improve efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of estimating experience with at least 5 in electrical construction.
- Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Proven success with $10M project bids, preferably for a variety of commercial and data center projects.
- Skilled in McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore, and Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand building codes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
