Production Supervisor Job Summary
This role is responsible for supervising employees in one or more departments to achieve company objectives for safety, quality, productivity, and costs.
The Production Supervisor will champion Tokai's Core Values and ensure all policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise plant operations as assigned, providing direction to Production Technicians according to established manufacturing specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- C coordinate with other departments to ensure proper product flow.
- Train new employees and update existing staff on new procedures.
- Maintain production targets by adjusting schedules, splitting crews, assisting other departments, etc.
- Be responsible for plant operations during assigned shifts and may include off-shift duties depending on assignment.
- Notify relevant authorities of any issues concerning production, schedules, quality, or scrap problems.
- Maintain company property and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition, keeping work areas clean and safe.
- Analyze and resolve work-related problems or assist workers in finding solutions using facts and data.
- Establish and maintain daily metrics, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Interpret company policies to employees and enforce safety regulations.
- Gather, compute, record, and compile data for production, near-miss, or accident reports.
- Recommend improvements to safety, production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase departmental or crew efficiency.
- Comply with environmental requirements.
- Verify TPMs completion and documentation.
- Verify completion of pre-work inspections.
- Cover for department manager in their absence.
Requirements

Education and Experience
- An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with 2-4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position supervises up to 25 employees.
