Supervisory Responsibilities
This position manages fleet drivers, one supervisor, and supply chain administrative staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in an office and occasionally in a shop environment with moderate noise, dust, and frequent weather changes.

- Support production departments maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
- Perform plant Preventative / Predictive Maintenance (PvM's and PdM's) as assigned.
- Troubleshoot / repair components and equipment as assigned.
- Install equipment as directed following all applicable mechanical, electrical codes and governmental regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Create, monitor and problem solve key metrics that support supply chain functions within the plant
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that ensure purchasing of supplies that meets both demand and cost targets as outlined. Identify and communicate risks to all involved.
- Utilize problem solving skills to determine root causes with short- and long-term counter measures that can be tracked for successful completion and sustainment.
- Create, manage, and audit all production schedules in both an MRP and Excel environment.
- Advanced skills preferred in Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Coordinate container operations for both import/export dispatch, document, and trade compliance requirements
- Coordinate domestic private fleet dispatch for all internal/external customers
- DOT and FMSCA knowledge and experience preferred but not required
- Point of contact for transportation related issues.
- Develop and track cost savings programs for the private fleet to meet or exceed expectations. Tire management and key maintenance responsibilities are required of this position.
- In addition to the general nature and level of work described, may perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of master data, MRP and general ERP best practice.
- Problem solving knowledge and experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
