Role Summary
The Database Coordinator is a member of the Fan & Business Intelligence Department for The Toledo Mud Hens, Walleye, and Hensville. This role will support the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and integrity of our database systems, ensuring that all data is accurately captured and efficiently utilized to drive decision-making processes across the organization.

Role Summary
The Database Coordinator is a member of the Fan & Business Intelligence Department for The Toledo Mud Hens, Walleye, and Hensville. This role will support the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and integrity of our database systems, ensuring that all data is accurately captured and efficiently utilized to drive decision-making processes across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of database systems, including installation, configuration, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Director of Information Technology to ensure database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and performance tuning are performed as needed.
- Support data entry and data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy and completeness of database records.
- Collaborate with data analysts and other team members to provide insights and support data-driven projects.
- Document database processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.
- Stay abreast of emerging database technologies and industry trends to ensure the organization leverages the best solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree, or pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Database management or other related field.
- Basic understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Understanding of programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to execute a number of tasks at the same time and working well under pressure.
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
- Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
