Position Summary
The Material’s Coordinator will collaborate with all departments to ensure efficient flow of all orders through shipping. The Material Coordinator will have an important role in final quality check of orders prior to being shipped. The ideal candidate will possess a high attention to detail, be very thorough in work quality, be able to identify inefficiencies, and effectively communicate suggestions to supervision. This position will work 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm and every third Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Effectively coordinate the movement of orders through the shop from start to completion by communicating with shift leads and supervisors in each department for order status.
- Maintain all information regarding order status and provide updates to management as needed.
- Perform quality checks as orders flow through departments. Work with operators and shift leads to ensure accountability of all materials for an order.
- Conduct final quality check of orders, before shipping to ensure the order is to the customers standards and expectations.
- Complete Quality Problem Reports when necessary.
- Wrap and prepare orders to ship.
- Load and Unload furnace when needed.
- Other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and order slips
- Ability to write clearly and send simple correspondence
- Knowledge of basic computer functions to send emails, or enter data
- Able to communicate verbal and written with other employees and supervisors
- Apply common sense understanding to solving problems
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience as a material handler or similar position
- Experienced forklift operator
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The following environment/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position.
- The noise level in the working environment is loud and is not climate controlled. Employee must be able to work in extreme hot or cold weather. Ability to lift to 50lbs. Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling are mandatory in order to successfully perform work duties.
