Wild Toledo Restoration Technician (Part- Time)

Our Conservation department is currently seeking a Part- Time Restoration Technician who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.
Under limited supervision, the Wild Toledo Restoration Technician will perform a variety of duties related to the operation of Wild Toledo’s native habitat restoration initiatives. Restoration sites span a variety of habitats such as prairies, woodlands, and wetlands. Locations include the Toledo Zoo campus as well as numerous off-site locations in both urban and rural settings including municipalities, schools, corporate campuses, and private residences.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier
- Preference will be given to current biology students as well as those with degrees in the field.
- Ability to work in regular field conditions that may include heat, humidity, rain, insect bites, and stings.
- Traveling to various locations throughout the NW Ohio and SE Michigan Areas
- Some minimal travel over an hour away in a day.
- Some weekend work required
