Position Summary
Tolerance Masters, Inc is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machined parts and sub-assemblies.
We are seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate engineering projects within our CNC machining company. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and proven experience managing cross-functional teams. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of complex CNC machined parts, from initial concept through production and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Lead project kickoff meetings, define scope, and manage project resources.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and resolutions. Provide clear updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project management lifecycle and engineering processes.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interface with clients to align engineering deliverables with customer expectations and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Familiarity with CNC machines, automation systems, or precision machining
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana)
- Familiar with JobBoss
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or similar certification
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
