JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Mathematics Instructor to join our team. The Mathematics Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics courses, inspiring and engaging students, and preparing them for success in their academic and professional endeavors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics, effective teaching strategies, and a commitment to student-centered learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach assigned mathematics classes, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of subject material.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum objectives.
Assess student progress through both formal and informal assessments, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Provide personalized support to students with diverse academic needs, including accommodations for IEPs.
Vary instructional techniques to address diverse learning styles and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Promote problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and self-reliance in students.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement student-centered learning activities.
Uphold school policies, procedures, and safety protocols while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Ohio Department of Education license/certificate appropriate for the position.
Clean criminal record suitable for public school employment.
Compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board policies.
Stay updated with technology and workplace innovations supporting job functions.
Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques and differentiated instruction.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
BENEFITS:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. (Salary range: $47,581.00 - $83,014.00)
189 day contract for first year new teachers; 185 days in subsequent contracts.
