Tollhouse Preschool is seeking responsible, nurturing, and creative teachers to work in our TODDLER AND SCHOOL AGE classrooms. Applicants should have excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate professionally with families, staff and children. For over 36 years, our center has been offering high quality care for children 6 weeks to 10 years. We are committed to assisting children grow and develop socially, physically, and cognitively. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Respecting each child’s individuality and unique contributions.
- Greeting and welcoming families and children at arrival. Greeting and communicating with families when they return at the end of the day.
- Assisting in planning and facilitating classroom and outdoor activities.
- Assist in preparing and planning the classroom environment, preparing materials and setting up activity centers, cleaning up after daily activities.
- Assisting in observing, documenting, and evaluating development for each child.
- Assisting in implementing individualized lesson plans.
- Supervising children closely at all times during the day.
- Assisting and teaching children to socialize, play, and communicate with others appropriately.
- Assisting entire staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized center.
- At all times, maintaining a professional demeanor, attitude and appearance.
- Respecting confidentiality at all times.
- Assisting in planning/implementing behavior management strategies and individual modification plans.
- Assisting children with basic life skills, including bathrooming, dressing, handwashing, and eating.
- Participating in staff and team meetings, parent/ teacher conferences, center wide events, and staff trainings.
- Follow NH Childcare Licensing Rules and Guidelines
Qualifications:
- Associate Teacher qualified: 9 credits in ECE (3 of which are in Child Development).
- If you have "Life Experience", willing to train the right candidate and assistance with college courses is available.
- Experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Physical ability to bend down to children’s level, lift children, and maintain high level of energy.
- 1st Aid and CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification.
Salary : $30,000 - $42,000
