Job Description
MMM Meat, LLC d/b/a Tolman’s Meats is seeking a full-time Food Safety Coordinator for its federal meat processing facility based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the execution of the Food Safety and Quality program. Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to company GMPs and policies
- Participate in completion of Nonconforming Material Reports and CAPAs
- Routine review and maintenance of the training program
- Check temperature monitoring system daily and ensure data downloads are complete and filed appropriately
- Provide paperwork to the production team and audit completion to ensure Good Documentation Practices are followed
- Maintain schedule of routine QA tasks and provide task lists for completion
- Maintain and generate CAPA overdue/coming due list and send to leadership
- Enter data/download data from SureTrend and generate monthly report to distribute to leadership and Sanitation
- Maintain approved lists for suppliers, suppliers of service, authorized personnel, chemicals, etc.
- Compile and post Food Safety Metrics each month
- Participate in internal audits
- Technical writing
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm.

Work Environment
The job operates both in an office as well as in a refrigerated food production (45°F) and warehouse setting (35°F). The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Self-motivated in a face-paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and task follow-through to completion
- Trustworthy and able to properly handle confidential information
- Punctuality, dependability, and flexibility are critical to this role
- Able to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Problem solver
- Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills, and strong listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Microsoft Office experience
- Possess the ability to perform basic mathematical equations, formulations, and conversions

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
