Qualifications/Preferences
- At least 5 years of professional experience
- Preferred experience in environmental consulting, with expertise in site investigations, design, and operation of remediation systems in the US.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, or related field, is required
- Alabama Professional Engineer License required.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in speaking and in writing so others will understand ideas and information. Must be able to respond to inquiries from staff and clients, effectively presenting information.

Responsibilities
· Oversee environmental team members, including scheduling and overseeing field assignments, managing subcontracts and mentoring junior staff.
· Work closely with clients, providing expert advice and solutions to their environmental concerns, that comply with environmental laws and regulations. You may also be asked to provide training and guidance to clients and their teams regarding environmental best practices and regulatory compliance.
· Provide clarification on complex engineering matters, as they may relate to legal proceedings, providing technical analysis, expert testimony, and/or preparation of reports.
· Coordinate with local, state and federal regulatory agencies
· Occasionally perform field work including (but not limited to) site assessments, sample collection, oversee subcontracts (including drillers).
· Perform environmental assessments and due diligence to identify potential environmental risks.
· Review and manage written document production, including work plan development, data evaluation, and technical report and proposal writing. You will also review and assess environmental data, preparing maps, tables, and figures as necessary.
