Tom Wood Aviation is home to one of the busiest flight schools in the state of Indiana! We are looking for certified flight instructors who are passionate about flying and are committed to teaching the next generation of pilots while gaining valuable hours and experience necessary for a successful career as a professional pilot. Our well-equipped fleet consists of two Cessna Skycatchers, five Cessna Skyhawks (including three G1000-equipped aircraft), a Cessna 172RG, a Bellanca Citabria, a Beechcraft B55 Baron, and a state-of-the-art Redbird LD Advanced Aviation Training Device.

Responsibilities
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor and/or General Manager.
- Provide high-quality flight, ground, and simulator instruction in accordance with the Cessna/King Schools syllabi for Sport, Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine, Flight Instructor, and Airline Transport Pilot certificates
- Promptly report aircraft maintenance discrepancies to the Chief Flight Instructor and/or Director of Maintenance
- Provide part 91 pilot services for Tom Wood Aviation customers
- Pick up and deliver aircraft across the country for our sales department
- Accompany the Chief Pilot on part 135 trips to provide customer service to charter customers
- Give facility tours to prospective customers and members of the community
- Recruit new customers and reach out to past customers for the flight school
- Maintain student and renter files with the appropriate documentation as required by Federal law and company policy
- Administer LaserGrade and PSI computer-based knowledge exams as a certified exam proctor
- Assist the Office Manager and front desk personnel by providing excellent customer service, including but not limited to, answering phones, processing customer transactions, and light cleaning
- Commercial Airplane Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Land
- CFI, CFII, MEI
- G1000 experience
- Tailwheel, high-performance endorsements
FAA 1st or 2nd class medical certificate
