What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multicrafts - Maintenance position at Tomball Independent School District?
Primary Purpose:
To perform highly diversified duties of installing, troubleshooting, repairing and general maintenance on the facilities and grounds for TISD
Qualifications:
M inimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience: 3 years general maintenance background preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have a working knowledge and the ability use tools such as: computers, meters, hand and power tools, pressure washing equipment etc.
- Must have a valid class C Texas Driver’s License
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and paint wall surfaces.
- Construct and repair case work
- Construct, modify and repairs walls
- Inspect and repair roofs
- Repair and replace sidewalks
- Replace glass windows and doors
- Install and repair all types of ceilings
- Inspect, repair and install playground equipment, fences and gates
- Pressure wash buildings and surfaces
- Demonstrate willingness and a positive attitude toward performing other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer, various hand tools both powered and manual, Pressure Washing equipment, step ladder, Lifts and specialzed test equipment, filing of documents
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
Walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting - over 50 pounds. Responsibilities of the position can cause and require irregular work hours or overtime.
Environment:
Work outside and inside with exposure to hot and cold temperatures: Work at elevated levels and on uneven surfaces: work in confined spaces and mechanical rooms with loud equipment and around high voltage. Work around and with various chemicals.
