What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker - Maintenance position at Tomball ISD?
Primary Purpose:
To work cooperatively to assure safe and efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Valid Texas Driver's License
Experience:
None
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Ability to use standard/basic tools
Ability to use and operate material handling equipment Must possess good people skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with receiving, pick up, & delivery of district equipment, supplies, & materials
- Provide assistance for district event setups and
- Provide assistance with delivery of District
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
- Assist with the inventory & warehousing of District fixed assets
- Provide assistance in preparation for & during I.S.D. surplus auctions.
- Assist with the assembly and repair of District property as
- Present an image of professionalism and develop good working relations with all District personnel.
- Maintain warehouse work areas in a neat and organized manner
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to perform any duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Working Conditions:
Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting and/or carrying; pushing, reaching, kneeling, repeated bending or stooping. Work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; excessive humidity; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders; work alone, work with others, and wear personal protective equipment as needed
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay grade: 2- Auxiliary
