SET THE COURSE
Accurately document multiple channels returned merchandise to insure proper credit is applied to customer accounts within established timeframes. Determine product disposition regarding what items can be placed back into stock, placed into seconds, or discarded. Acquire knowledge of all Return Dept. functions in the Distribution Center.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
- Support development of revised workflow procedures designed to reduce labor costs and increase speed of processing.
- Utilize multiple operating systems to analyze, research and solve complex return problems as well as providing department activity and audit reporting.
- Refurbish returns to first quality condition, this includes: inspecting, relabeling as needed, steaming, folding, and bagging.
- Assist in training new employees and/or staffing agency temporary employees.
- Identify and report product quality issues.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and others to achieve operational excellence.
- Reliable, results oriented self- motivated team player with a positive approach to assigned tasks and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse work areas and restocking of departmental supplies.
- Assist in the return put away of VAS'd merchandise to active floor location.
- Cross train in other departments to support the DC as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support the overall business.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
- 3 years Distribution Center operations experience, preferably in a returns department
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric driven, production-based environment
- Experience using RF / Voice directed equipment or third-party technologies desirable and ability to use a headset for interactive communication with voice-directed technology
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively interact with others
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code, SKU)
- Ability to work overtime and after normal business hours, as business needs deem necessary
- Agility to bend, stoop and reach to floor-level and upper shelves
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Stamina to stand, walk, push, pull and perform repetitive duties for entire work shift
Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
Rate Range: $16.49-$24.71 hourly
