Director of Childcare

Job Summary
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and experience working with students in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the child care program, including curriculum development and implementation.
• Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding child care operations.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning and development.
• Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, and staff performance.
• Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
• Organize community outreach programs to promote the child care center.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized university in Education or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience working with students or children in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of education administration principles and practices.
• Previous experience in higher education teaching is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to enhance the program's effectiveness.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and engaging learning environment for children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1,800.00 per month
