Job Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, facilitate timely and insightful reporting, and guide the transactional finance team toward operational excellence. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.

Primary Job Functions

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information through regular monitoring and redirection of transactional processing. 
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy and relevance of financial data.  Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions.
  • Support decision-making through the interpretation of financial data.
  • Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide documentation and explanations related to financial transactions and processes in support of external and internal audits.
  • Ensure transactional processing results in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the accounting function.
  • Implement best practices to enhance overall financial operations.
  • Address complex accounting issues and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with other functions to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on liquidity and working capital.
  • Conduct special financial analysis and projects as requested.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of overhead expenses.  Ensure transactions are posted timely, investigate for gaps and errors prior to monthly closing. 
  • Complete UCC filings as required to protect ownership in machine inventory on trial or rental contracts. 
  • Reconcile and maintain external agent and employee commission calculations and reports. 
  • Lead finance responsibilities with respect to period physical inventory procedures. 
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results. 
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential. 
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Meet financial targets by owning the assigned budget.  
  • Develop and implement the business short-, medium- and long-term priorities in accordance with the business strategy, to achieve short- and long-term success.  
  • Accurately plan and forecast the assigned business to include performance, resources and finances.

  • Manage performance, career and succession plans for direct team.  
  • Develop a high performing & accountable team and facilitate team’s achievement of goals & objectives.  
  • Develops productive relationships and maintain an atmosphere of trust.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis, interpret data, recognize trends, and provide strategic insights for decision-making.
  • Ability to lead and supervise accounting teams, providing guidance, and reviewing the work of junior staff.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and experience in ensuring compliance while minimizing tax liabilities.
  • Skills in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices for efficiency.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex accounting issues and find effective solutions.
  • Experience in managing cash flow, optimizing working capital, and ensuring liquidity.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in accounting standards, regulations, and organizational structures.
  • Capacity to mentor and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
  • A high level of attention to detail in reviewing financial documents and ensuring accuracy.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and integrity in handling financial information.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of Power BI and SQL a plus.
  • Willingness to work long hours when necessary. 

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting

Work Environment

  • Ability to work in an open office environment as well as industrial customer worksites.

Experience

  • 3 years’ professional experience in financial reporting and analysis 
  • 2 years public accounting experience preferred 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at desk for long periods of time.
  • Kneel, bend, and stand as necessary. 
  • Ability to lift 5-10 lbs.

Supervision

  • This is a supervisory role.

Travel

  • This position requires minimal travel.

Driving

  • Ability to drive without restrictions in residency country.

For U.S applications, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range is $75,432 - $113,148 USD annually.
