Job Summary
Toms River Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is crucial in managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in accounting software including Microsoft Excel and Jonas Country Club Management Software
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform data entry for invoices, payments, and receipts into the accounting system.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or issues related to accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Manage vendor communications regarding payment inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support human resources with payroll-related entries as needed.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Quicken for efficient transaction management.
- Ensure adherence to double entry bookkeeping practices for accurate financial reporting.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Quicken.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Understanding of debits and credits as well as fundamental financial concepts.
