Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for confirming appointments and Insurance verification. Prior Radiology Experience Preferred. This role requires a strong focus on patient service, attention to detail, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software
- Confirm Appointments
- Verify Insurance coverage and Patient financial responsibility.
- Assist with Authorizations as needed.
- Review documentation and ensure all patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain medical records in compliance with health information management standards.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing inquiries as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Imaging Center is preferred.
- Strong understanding of health information management practices and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record management.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage.
