Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor will have advanced knowledge in all TFCU lending products, credit union procedures, and loan-related policies. The Mortgage Loan Processor will be highly skilled in mortgage processing and other mortgage-related duties. Typically the Mortgage Loan Processor will have a minimum of 18 months of loan department-related experience and will understand and ensure compliance with all credit union policies as well as state and federal credit union regulations. They will maintain member confidence and protect the credit union by keeping all member information confidential. The Mortgage Loan Processor will contribute to the success of the credit union through self-motivation and leadership in team efforts.
Responsibilities
- Process all conventional mortgage loan types through the BytePro ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and timing requirements for disclosures.
- Request AHFC commitments.
- Request ARCH Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) commitments.
- Request verifications including for income and assets (down payment), etc.
- Prepare loan packages for submission for funding to Alaska Housing Finance Corporation.
- Have a strong understanding of all conventional mortgage programs offered by TFCU including Alaska Housing Finance Corporation loans, USDA guaranteed loans, Mid-America loans and Members First loans.
- Ensures all loan files adhere to policies and procedures and products meet federal and state regulations, as well as member and investor requirements.
- Ensures that each loan file is processed accurately by making sure each one is properly documented, closed, disbursed and filed.
- Provides documentation to Alaska Housing for quality control and servicing audits.
- Can correctly prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly investor reports.
- Monitor pending mortgage loan files to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly reports including mortgage recordings and condominium report.
- Manage escrow analysis and disbursements
Additional Functions:
- Participate in loan department monthly meetings and annual loan goals.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings File and maintain member records.
- Keep lobby area neat and clean.
- Maintain an orderly, neat and clean work station; cooperate in cleaning and maintaining shared work areas.
- Assist in identifying needs for reordering or restocking office supplies.
- Help prepare records for proper storage.
- Assist in overall credit union compliance efforts.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
