Essential Job Functions
- Overseeing daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, billing, and office management functions.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Processing weekly payroll ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
- Support HR functions for Time Reporting, onboarding and offboarding.
- Supervising and mentoring staff, providing training and professional development opportunities, and conducting performance reviews.
- Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in maintaining databases to be current and accurate.
- Proactively produce billing and time reporting data and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement strategies to streamline workflows and increase efficiency within the department.
- Collaborate seamlessly with senior management and colleagues across all levels of the firm to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 10 years in an accounting and managerial capacity is required.
- Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive presence and strong leadership abilities to effectively guide and motivate team members toward achieving organizational goals.
