Pastry Department Lead

Too Sweet Cakes is looking for a dedicated and skilled Pastry Department Lead to oversee our baking operations. This role is essential in ensuring our team produces high-quality baked goods and savory items while maintaining efficiency and cleanliness. Location: Too Sweet Cakes, Phoenix

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (based on experience)

Daily Duties:

• Lead and oversee a team of 3-5 employees
• Prep and produce a variety of baked and savory items to meet next-day production needs
• Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed, keeping work areas and equipment in top condition
• Identify and escalate any production or staffing issues to the appropriate manager
  
  

As Needed:

• Assist with monthly inventory counts
• Maintain awareness of ingredient needs and help with ordering when necessary
  
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a bakery or food production environment
• Strong understanding of baking techniques and food prep
• Ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high-quality standards
• Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization
• Strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve as challenges arise
  
  

This role is vital to the success of our bakery, and responsibilities may be adjusted as needed at the Bakery Manager's discretion.
