GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a variety of advanced administrative and clerical duties to support the daily operations, projects, and strategic objectives of the Information Technology Department. Serves as the primary liaison for internal office management, technical service coordination, and purchasing.

Reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the administrative functions of the department, overseeing the Director's schedule and coordinating staff appointments and departmental meetings.
- Organizes and coordinates travel arrangements and accommodations for staff.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive County documents and personnel materials.
- Prepares and processes payroll timecards.
- Orders office supplies and equipment; coordinates maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Processes invoices and coordinates purchases, overseeing the purchasing of computer hardware and software for all County departments.
- Collaborates closely with the Director of Information Technology to track, manage, and report on the department's budget and financial activities. Gathers and compiles data for budget preparation and reporting; monitors departmental expenditures and budget performance.
- Serves as the office receptionist, managing phone calls, greeting visitors, and ensuring positive public interactions.
- Assists in creating agendas, scheduling meetings, and coordinating room usage for department activities.
- Supports cross-departmental projects and provides logistics and documentation for internal training events.
- Responsible for inventory and logging assets prior to deployment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Associate degree in secretarial science, office management, computer science, or related field and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support, including advanced computer skills, bookkeeping, and office management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in office systems, recordkeeping, budget tracking, and departmental procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with peers, supervisors, and the public.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and sit for extended periods in an office environment.
