Responsibilities:
Road Specialist I
- Contribute to all facets of road construction and maintenance activities to uphold the safety and quality of County Roads.
- Work on maintenance of street signs, sidewalks, pothole repair and patching, storm drain and culvert cleaning, crack sealing asphalt, flagging, and other duties
Sr. Road Specialist
- Specialist with a CDL uses/operates heavy equipment including loaders, graders, track hoes, backhoes, bulldozers, street sweepers, and large trucks to haul heavy equipment. Also plows snow, grades gravel roads, installs chip seal, and does overlay with a paver.
Qualifications:
Road Operations Specialist: Pay Grade F - $21.98
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with peers.
- Strong commitment to personal accountability.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: One year of experience operating heavy equipment but not required.
- Able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months
Senior Road Operations Specialist: Pay Grade H - $26.11 - Three (3) years of experience; plus, experience on three (3) of the following pieces of equipment: loader, backhoe, grader, or dozer; and minimum of 600 hours of operating time. Must meet the minimum qualifications of a Road Operations Specialist. (Please attach a copy of your CDL License to your application)
