Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to support our Physical Security Upgrade Projects. As a Security Upgrade Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional efforts between various workgroups, reviewing engineering drawings, supporting technical reviews, and ensuring compliance with nuclear security regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support cross-functional interactions between various teams including Nuclear Security, Nuclear Projects, and external vendors.
- Review engineering sketches and drawings, providing input where necessary.
- Act as a liaison between Nuclear Security and Nuclear Projects to scope and technically review physical security requirements.
- Support on-site walkdowns of affected equipment and assess security impacts.
- Ensure the timely and accurate incorporation of engineering changes (ECs) by working with the Project Manager (PM) and Responsible Engineer (RE).
- Assist the Project Manager with project coordination and support the Field Engineer (FE) in coordinating efforts between planning, implementation, engineering, and project management.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions for equipment-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with Safeguards Information (SGI) qualification requirements and maintain nuclear unescorted access (UA).
- Stay up to date with nuclear physical security requirements, including site-specific, fleet-specific, regulatory agency, and applicable laws at the local, state, and federal levels.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to support and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience working with nuclear security and physical security requirements.
- Ability to perform on-site assessments and walkdowns of affected equipment.
- Knowledge of nuclear-specific regulations, including requirements from regulatory agencies and local/state/federal laws.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Safeguards Information (SGI) qualification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain nuclear unescorted access (UA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
