We are looking for a Pipeline Technician to join our oil and gas client! As a Pipeline Technician, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of pipeline systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Location & Excavation: Locate pipelines and oversee excavation activities, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
- Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain facility stations and equipment to ensure continuous and safe pipeline operations.
- Pipeline Monitoring & Testing: Gather samples, process results, gauge tanks, prove meters, witness sampling, and monitor pipeline shipments.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency response efforts, including containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions to minimize risk.
- Line Crossings: Conduct line crossings by receiving one-call notifications, reading maps, contacting utilities and landowners, and properly staking lines.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices in all aspects of pipeline maintenance and operations.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Pipeline Supervisor to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of relevant pipeline maintenance or operations experience.
- Strong understanding of pipeline operations, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience in 811 systems.
- Ability to read maps, locate utilities, and effectively coordinate with stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Work Schedule:
- Standard Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day (40 hours per week).
- On-call: Required for 811 call notifications and emergency callouts, as needed.
- Workload: May vary based on operational needs.
