Clubhouse Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clubhouse Director to lead our after school program and prevention education programs. The Clubhouse Director will establish and coordinate activities for the Clubhouse, combining evidence-based curriculums with games, sports activities, arts and crafts, yoga, etc. Establish and coordinate a 6-week summer program to be held at the Clubhouse (or designated site), ensuring activities are coordinated by planning all staffing needs and communicating roles and responsibilities that are clearly defined. In addition, provide culturally and linguistically appropriate education to improve family members', caregivers', and the public's understanding of evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery strategies for behavioral health, and to reduce stigma associated with the disease by attending community events and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to clients.
• Provide training in the use of personal and community resources
• Completes all necessary/required training assigned timely.
• Assist in developing formal and informal community support.
• Assist the person served in increasing social support networks
• Offer encouragement in times of crisis.
• Advocate on behalf of persons with behavioral health problems to protect the client’s rights
• Assist in reducing associated stigma of behavioral health conditions
• Work in coordination with providers, client, and family in the client’s recovery plan
• Attend agency staff meetings and necessary case conferences
• Attain established standards of productivity
• Observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment
• Be responsible for understanding the client's rights policy and procedures.
• Participate in staff training and development.
• Serve on designated committees within the agency.
• Maintain professional standards at all times.
• Observe the guidelines established within the Code of Ethics and Conduct
• Create clubhouse structure and schedule- to include academic enrichment time, recreation, and prevention education.
• Create age appropriate lesson plans for all clubhouse activities which will be turned into the Project Director.
• Create and maintain relationships with professionals and laypersons who can provide specialized instruction.
• Organize and maintain specialized instruction schedules.
• Communicates in writing/purchase order to the project director needs i.e. supplies/snacks/ equipment two work weeks in advance.
• Checks facility and equipment daily for safety and cleanliness at the clubhouse. At the beginning and end of each day.
• Ensures all equipment is safe and the facility is well stocked.
• Delegates tasks to staff for clubhouse support.
• Implements Clubhouse services from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m during the school year.
• Implements 6 week summer camp Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
• Assists in coordinating and implementing evening and weekend events as assigned (at least 1 per quarter).
• Provides Prevention education to individuals/groups in schools 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
• Completes all documentation and/or uploads to EMR within 72 hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master level or three years experience in related field
• Past or present consumer of mental health or substance use services
• 45 -55 wpm typing; must demonstrate typing skills.
• Advanced skills in PC/Word processing/database/spreadsheets/systems and integrating the advanced skills to produce complex reports and documents. Possess computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel for Windows.
• Ability to apply the concepts of customer service in the workplace. Ability to use good professional judgment. Detail oriented. Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision.
• Possesses a basic knowledge of all office equipment, including word processors, typewriters, Dictaphone, FAX, and copy machines, and a willingness to attend appropriate classes to increase knowledge as needed.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Ability to meet short and long-term goals and project deadlines.
• Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.
• Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams.
