SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Manager is a key authority in all matters concerning processes and product quality as established by AS9110C, Engineering specifications, Government (DOD) and FAA regulations, and approved TAC Quality Assurance Standards. In addition, provides continuous improvement for TAC Maintenance and Logistic procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the QARs (Quality Assurance Representatives) duties are monitored and supervised related to continuous improvement of the Quality System.
- Ensures that the Maintenance and Logistics departments follow established procedures and that they meet established performance objectives.
- Establishes qualification requirements for QARs and mentor and coach QARs to maintain qualification levels.
- Oversight of the following Programs: Quality Management System - AS9110C, Quality Assurance Audit Program.
- Participates in Vendor/Supplier auditing, approval and monitoring.
- Provide monthly Quality Assurance reports to top leadership as well as DOD.
- Works with operating staff to establish procedures, standards and systems.

Under the company's Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) program, you will have the following responsibilities as a Manager/Supervisor:
- Providing a safe and healthy workplace, including ensuring each employee under your supervision possesses or has access to necessary and applicable safety equipment, systems, and properly maintained tools.
- Ensuring staff are provided with applicable safety information, training, instruction, and supervision to protect the general occupational health and safety of employees.
- Ensuring employees know and comply with OH&S requirements.
- Supporting and consulting with OH&S committees, if organized, and OH&S representatives on all matters to improve workplace OH&S, including regular safety inspections of the workplace.

To reduce product and 'safety of flight' risks to an acceptable level, you must actively participate in the TAC Safety Management System (SMS), which includes:
- Communication of safety risks to employees and their roles and responsibilities related to these risks.
- Continuous improvement of the company's Safety Management System and risk controls.
- Compliance with applicable safety laws and regulations.
- Responsible to ensure that the processes are delivering the intended outcomes; responsible for the overall conformity of the QMS to the standard. Reports to the President on the performance of the QMS and opportunities for improvement. Responsible for ensuring that compliance with the standard and other requirements is preserved during maintenance or changes made to the QMS. Responsible for the corrective action process.
- Provides leadership in the implementation, operation and performance of the SMS as directed by the SMS Manager. Manages functions related to the airworthiness safety aspects of the SMS including - implementation of risk assessment, risk reduction and airworthiness safety enhancement processes and improvement initiatives. Additionally, QA provides guidance to the Chief of Safety and feedback to the TAC Leadership Team on the SMS implementation progress, SMS effectiveness and assists site management with airworthiness safety performance oversight and monitoring. Serves as point of contact with authorities that provide regulatory oversight for the site.
- Member of the Safety Team.
- Directs corporate safety initiatives and reviews corporate SMS goals and progress towards meeting these goals; coordinates implementation and execution of SMS elements that are common to all sites.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as may be directed.
SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
- Aviation experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of AS9110C, FAA part 91 regulations and FAA Order 8130-2.
- Adaptability to listen, analyze, and convey new solutions to analyze project performance and client satisfaction results.
- International and travel throughout the U.S. may be required.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- FAA A&P Certificate Required
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate Required
- AS9110C Lead Auditor training course
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- 5 years managing quality organization
- Bachelor degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
