Job Title: Hydraulic/Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydraulic/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:

Hydraulic System Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and related components. Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as leaks, pressure drops, or system inefficiencies.

Mechanical Maintenance: Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, engines, turbines, compressors, and other heavy machinery.

Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues. Identify root causes of failures and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Preventative Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to proactively address potential issues and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.

System Upgrades: Assist with the installation and upgrading of new hydraulic or mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring proper functioning upon integration.

Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repairs, inspections, and service logs. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that the work environment remains safe for all employees.

Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, production, and engineering departments to ensure that all hydraulic and mechanical systems are in top working condition.

Emergency Response: Be available for on-call or emergency repairs during non-standard working hours to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Hydraulic/Mechanical Maintenance Technician or a similar role in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and related technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment for both hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and other mechanical repair techniques is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems may be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Technical certification or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in hydraulics and mechanical maintenance are a plus (e.g., Hydraulic Systems Specialist, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, etc.).
Working Conditions:
- Work in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- May require occasional work outside of standard business hours, including weekends or on-call shifts.
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
