Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Day School Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and management, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine love for dogs. The Dog Day School Manager will ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs, lead a team of staff members, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dog day school.
- Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures for both dogs and staff.
- Dog Care:
- Supervise the care and handling of all dogs, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Manage playgroups, activities, and enrichment programs to provide a stimulating environment for the dogs.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Staff Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of dog care professionals, ensuring they provide excellent care and customer service.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their dogs’ well-being.
- Handle inquiries, reservations, and customer feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote the services and programs offered by the dog day school.
- Administrative Duties:
- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of dog care, staff schedules, and client information.
- Implement and oversee marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in animal care, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of canine behavior, health, and nutrition.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Certification in pet first aid and CPR is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a noisy and active environment.
