Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the organization. This position combines the responsibilities of both a controller and a director of finance, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and team leadership. This role will be on site at The Foundry in Kent.

What you will do:

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts to guide the organization’s financial planning.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring the organization maintains a strong financial position.

What you will bring:

• 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and management.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. 
• Professional certification such as CFRE, CFA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications a bonus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• A strong leader that embodies collaborative relationship building and management skills.
