Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager Cloud Migrations to lead the migration of infrastructure from two data centers into AWS, followed by the complete decommissioning and removal of all equipment, assets, and telecom services. This role requires expertise in cloud migrations, data center exit strategies, and stakeholder coordination to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Cloud Migration: Lead the planning and execution of migrating infrastructure from two data centers into AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and operational impact.
• Data Center Exit Strategy: Oversee the full decommissioning process, including equipment removal, asset disposition, and telecom service termination.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with engineering, networking, security, and business teams to align migration efforts with business goals.
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Vendor & Telecom Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for equipment removal, lease terminations, and service cancellations.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all migrations adhere to security best practices, regulatory compliance, and governance standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of infrastructure migration, asset disposition, and project progress for executive reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, services, and best practices.
• Infrastructure Migration: Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure migrations from on-premises data centers to cloud environments.
• Data Center Decommissioning: Hands-on experience with data center shutdowns, asset removal, and telecom service decommissioning.
• Project Management: Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of networking, security, storage, and compute infrastructure.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive project success.
• Tools & Methodologies: Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project) and cloud migration frameworks.
