About the Opportunity
">Top Quality Recruitment (TQR) is seeking an accomplished Facilities Operations Director to lead our manufacturing facility's operations. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless production processes and making strategic decisions to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief operating officer for the manufacturing facility, providing strategic direction and oversight on all operational matters.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive facilities strategy to minimize downtime, ensure equipment reliability, and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Closely monitor and analyze financial and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant support systems, including air compressors, central vacuum systems, cooling systems, water treatment systems, and HVAC.
- Direct outside contractors for maintenance/repairs, equipment installations, facilities improvements, and expansions.
- Owning and managing the EBM training program, including delivering training sessions, and cross-training reports to enhance flexibility during peak and off-peak periods.
- Achieving accurate and timely attendance data to support correct payroll administration.
- Implementing disciplinary measures as necessary and participating in employee hiring/discharge decisions.
- Regularly reviewing and refining predictive maintenance approaches, adapting monitoring frequencies, routes, and equipment as needed.
- Emphasizing a culture of excellence, encouraging individual performance, productivity, and personal growth among employees.
- Being available 24/7 for urgent situations.
- Inspecting finished work against blueprints, specifications, and OEM standards.
- Creating plans, estimates, and schedules to maximize workforce, material, and machinery efficiency in plant maintenance operations.
- Ensuring a secure and clean working environment via regular inspections, hazard analysis, and training programs.
- Contributing to capital expenditure and equipment purchase decisions.
- Carrying out other duties as assigned by management to meet or exceed project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with extensive product and process knowledge.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or executive role.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Understanding of planning, procurement policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
