Summary
The Plant Manager will coordinate and direct all of the major plant functions, maintain good employee relations, and meet all budgetary objectives. Responsible for the execution of all manufacturing operations including Product, Planning, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Maintenance, Purchasing, Safety, Shipping, Receiving, and Materials Controls.
Key Activities
- Plan and direct plant operations while continually working toward improved efficiencies and quality at a reduced cost
- Correlate performance to budgeted dollars and understand the variances and the reasons for them
- Determines priorities; processes work efficiently; conveys clear expectations for assignments; establishes clear agendas and desired outcomes; prepares for and conducts successful meetings; and follows up promptly after meetings
- Structuring of the product development strategy / process, improvement of product and processes in collaboration with R&D, Sales, and Corporate
- Responsible for implementing and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory rules and regulations relating to food plant sanitation and the environment
- Responsible for adhering to all quality system requirements.
