The General Manager for a fencing company is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including sales, project management, team leadership, budgeting and customer satisfaction. This role requires a person who can multi-task with strong leadership skills and industry knowledge to drive growth, efficiency and profitability.Key responsibilities-1. Operations management-oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of fencing projects-develop and implement efficient workflows, project schedules, and operational strategies-ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies-management procurement and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels of fencing materials2. Financial & Budget Management-Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial health and profitability-Monitor financial performance, including revenue monthly, expense and profit margins-identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service-handle pricing strategies and contract negotiations3. Sales & Business Development-identify and pursue relationships to drive business growth-Build and Maintain relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers-develop sales strategies and ensure team meets or exceeds targets-oversee marketing efforts and ensure all leads are followed up on4. Team Leadership and development-recruit, train and manage a team of fencing professionals, including installers and sales staff-foster a positive work environment and culture of accountability-conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for employee growth-ensure proper staffing levels for optimal efficiency5. Customer relations and service-ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction throughout project lifecycle-address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner.-maintain a strong reputation through quality workmanship and reliable service6. Requirements-proven experience in a leadership role within fencing, construction or a related industry-strong business acumen with expertise in operations, budgeting, and financial management-excellent leadership skills with great communication and problem-solving skills-a go getter-ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously-familiarity with fencing materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices-proficiency in project management and CRM software is a plus7. Preferred Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management or related field-experience in sales and customer relationship management-knowledge of local building codes and regulations8.
