Are you an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer seeking an opportunity to make a difference in pediatric healthcare? Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is hiring three skilled professionals to join their team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on performing high-quality pediatric echocardiographic evaluations to diagnose congenital and acquired heart conditions in children.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program (Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer), RCCS (Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer), or RDCS PE (Pediatric Echocardiography) certification.
- 2-3 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography (New graduates or candidates without pediatric scanning experience will not be considered).
- Expertise in transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac anatomy, physiology, and congenital heart defects.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pediatric patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary pediatric cardiology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pediatric echocardiograms using advanced ultrasound technology.
- Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists to ensure precise diagnostic imaging.
- Collect patient history and clinical data to assist in accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and patient documentation standards.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Participate in equipment quality control, maintenance, and imaging protocol development.
- Educate patients and families about echocardiographic procedures and results as needed.
