What You'll Do
Come Play With Us! The Manager of Sales and Community Engagement (MSCE) will be responsible to
recruit, coach, mentor and lead our marketing and sales departments. The MSCE is
responsible for selling the exciting experience of Topgolf through contracted events.
The MSCE will collaborate with Operations and Culinary teams to ensure flawless event
execution. The MSCE is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service throughout
all stages of the sales process including ongoing post-event follow-up to ensure repeat
business and referrals. The MSCE is also expected to foster new client opportunities via
outbound efforts and networking in the community to drive sales. The MSCE will be
responsible for overseeing the marketing team and help bringing national marketing
campaigns to life at a local level and executing a local marketing plan specific to their
area that drives visits to the venue.
How You’ll Do It:
- Recruit, hire, and train the marketing team to conduct outreach (guerilla and paid activations),
- Mentor, coach and motivate the sales and marketing team to exceed the monthly (period),
- Lead and document bi-weekly 1-on-1’s with each team member managed directly
- Manage marketing and sales teams’ weekly schedules
- Participate in staff meetings at the venue and bi-weekly 1-on-1’s with venue General Manager
- Conduct market analysis and devise strategies for generating new business
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) using reports and dashboards to ensure standards
- Perform revenue forecasts, win/loss reports and period recaps that illustrate overall
- Assist the National Events team to service all events booked by National Events Account
- Foster a sales culture/environment focused on continual improvement and exceeding targets
- Provide leadership on the day-to-day event operations, while maintaining focus on the
- Verify and approve all completed Event close outs, resolve any discrepancies and coach
- Manage annual Sales & Marketing budgets
- Oversee requests, ordering and inventory control of all event enhancements such as Topgolf memorabilia or other special-order items for event clients
- Conduct regular Event Catering & Ops Meetings (a.k.a. Banquet Event Order – BEO Meetings)
- Engage in forums such as Workplace, Regional Sales and Marketing Leadership 1-on-1 Calls
- Know the local market! Where people go, when they go, latest offers and promotions of
- Identifying, securing and managing onsite setup and activation of local outreach events
Champions, to generate leads and drive visits to venue
- Tracking results of all local activations and making recommendations for future activity (KPI’s,
- Generating ideas for your venue that are on-brand and approved by venue GM and Regional
- Activating and managing venue implementation and activation of corporate secured
- Ensuring all materials on display in venue comply with brand standards (timely/updated/in
- Maintaining the stock/version of promotional items (hand out items, promo cards, tents,
- Monitoring review platforms regularly such as Yelp, TripAdvisor and Google; reporting
- Reviewing, evaluating and if aligned to our brand (meets our criteria), fulfilling requests for
- Coordinating and tracking local volunteer efforts, promoting these opportunities with venue
- Minimum 3 years current sales experience, preferable in hospitality, restaurant or
- 3 years current B2B and/or B2C sales team management experience to include entry and mid
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Sport Management, or Sales/Marketing
- Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, return guests, co-workers and
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM Applications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with public speaking
- Excellent presentation skills, time management and organization skills
- Ability to excel and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local area business and existing client database
