Responsibilities:
- Support customer rate quote requests by providing accurate cost and sell rates for target and existing accounts. Analyze potential financial risks, returns, and profitability to assist in evaluating opportunities
- Budget and Forecast planning: Collaborate with overseas team to develop and manage bookings, sailings and costs/sell rates
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis by reviewing financial data, cost structures, and pricing models. Identify cost drivers, variances, and trends, and provide recommendations for cost reduction and optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other internal and department teams, including finance, operations, procurement, customer service and management, to gather relevant data, align on objectives, and ensure accurate cost analysis and reporting
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
- Assist with client requests or issue escalations as needed
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of NVOCC or supply chain operations & business logic
- Proven work experience as an Pricing Support, Pricing Assistant, Account Manager, Inside Sales Support or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in ocean shipping or supply chain platform preferred
