Weld Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and processes, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience with various welding equipment, ensuring high-quality standards in all fabrication tasks. The Welder will work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality assurance.
• Conduct inspections using vision inspection systems to verify weld quality.
• Program and operate robotic welding systems, including Fanuc robots.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot issues related to distributed control systems and logic controllers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Experience with robot programming, particularly Fanuc systems, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
