What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Die Cleaner - Night shift position at TOPS Staffing?
TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a die cleaner for an established manufacturing client located in Delmont, PA.
Main purpose of this position is clean metal dies we utilize in our plastic extrusion machines. This is done using multiple techniques, but in general its giving them a series of baths with industrial cleaners, and then hand cleaning them using various tools such as picks, scrapers, brushes, etc. Requires a person with some patients and a high attention to detail.

Night shift position
Hours: 11:30pm to 8am
Schedule – Could involve working weekends. You will still get 2 consecutive days off just may not be Saturday and Sunday.
Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour includes shift differential.

- Perform die cleaning as needed
- This is a bench position, mostly performed in a seated position
- Use of small hand tools including, picks, brushes, sandpaper, screw drivers to clean plastic out of metal extrusion dies.
- High attention to detail, must make sure dies a cleaned and no old material is left in molds.
- Job does include working with some cleaning chemicals
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- High attention to detail, any quality experience would be a plus but not required.
- Experience in the plastics industry is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be ok with getting a bit dirty in this position
- Lifting of dies, must be able to lift 45lbs
- Push/ pulling of loaded carts
- Ability to steady off shift hours
