What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Assembler position at TOPS Staffing?
TOPS Staffing has partnered with a well established manufacturing company who is currently looking to hire an experienced System Assembler to work in their production/ fabrication shop, located near the Cheswick/ Harmarville area of Pittsburgh.
Good opportunity for an individual who has a “handyman” type skills set, as the ideal candidate will be able to work from blueprints, and have experience doing plumbing/piping work, light electrical wiring, mechanical assembly and some very basic fabrication.

Direct hire opportunity
Cheswick/ Harmarville area
Daylight shift position
Hours: 6:30am to 3pm; Monday to Friday schedule could be some occasional weekend work when needed.
Pay rate: $23 hr
Duties/Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Install burner, mount panels, and controls, fabricating brackets and supports as needed
Perform wiring between burner, control panel and controls, in accordance with diagrams and/or instruction manuals.
Bend and install conduit when required
Work from blueprints and any special instructions to install auxiliary equipment such as feed pumps, oil heater, chemical feeders, injectors, etc. including piping and wiring of same and any brackets or hangers
Uses various hand tools and power tools as needed
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Control wiring, conduit, and piping experience
Ability to read blueprints and/or diagrams required
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
Ability to be on your feet for entire shift
Position will require frequent bending, stooping, and squatting
Work performed both inside and outside of our shop
