Responsibilities and Areas of Support The position encompasses a broad range of analytical and operational support functions critical to mission success. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational and logistical data to identify trends, streamline workflows, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to enhance effectiveness and mission continuity.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress, identify gaps, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Security and Compliance Coordination: Prepare and submit documentation for security clearances, badging, and facility access; ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies.
- Travel Support: Utilize the Defense Travel System (DTS) to analyze travel data, prepare authorizations, and maintain accurate travel expense records for government leadership.
- Resource Management: Monitor and track resource allocation, including IT assets, tools, and equipment, to ensure availability and accountability.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Manage the Directorate Enterprise Services (DES) calendar, coordinate high-level meetings, and ensure alignment with operational priorities and deadlines.
- Information Management: Maintain and analyze organizational distribution lists, including email groups, phone rosters, and the DES Contact/Recall Roster, to enhance communication efficiency.
- Workplace Tracking: Execute and track office moves using the WITS (Workplace Installation and Tracking System) tool while assessing impact and optimizing space utilization.
- IT System Analysis: Monitor IT support requests, identify recurring issues, and assist in resolving system-related challenges as an alternate security manager.
- Operational Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation and reports to support operational planning, decision-making, and process continuity.
- Additional Analyst Duties: Perform other analytical and support functions as directed to meet organizational goals and priorities.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or Master’s degree (MA), or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience providing analytical support in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required to start.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Defense Travel System (DTS) and Workplace Installation and Tracking System (WITS).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Detail Orientation: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on accuracy, process improvement, and attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to independently analyze challenges, develop solutions, and implement recommendations efficiently and professionally.
